Dehner Franks

Birian Tracey Brian Tracey was born into a large family from the Boston
area. He recalls the first words from his parents as being
“responsibility” and “work” as much as “momma”. Brian worked
his way through college in part through his talent as a singer and
horn player in a band that he founded with his brothers. His
plans for continuing on to medical school were interrupted when
his brothers suggested “going on the road.” Indeed, the Tracey’s
were so successful that they become known as “The Osmond
Brothers” of New England. After nine years of performing,
a position opened for his band in Lowell Massachusetts. He
then became involved in the production end of musical groups and events. However,
television had always been on the back of his mind. An opportunity arose to produce his
own TV show in the Northeast, which became very popular. Subsequently, his television
talent caught the eye of an influential figure in San Francisco that ultimately placed him
as a founder of the KING 5 “Evening Magazine.” This show went on to become an very
popular news program in the Northwest. After nine years of “Evening Magazine,” he was
tapped to join NBC’s Discovery Channel out of New York. Finally, after many years as a
performer and broadcaster, he chose to return to Seattle and establish his own business,
Ride the Ducks of Seattle. Brian can say that this has proven to be a very fun-filled
adventure for himself as well as for all those who have taken the tour. The fact that there
are now 17 DUCKS testifies that business has been growing rapidly over the past few years!
For the 7th year Brian has once again volunteered to be the Master of Ceremonies
this
time for the 11th Anniversary of the Christmas Spectacular This year Brian was again
encouraged to volunteer for the show with the words “It will be easy this year!” just before
the producer of our show, Dr. Sanford Wright, handed Brian the 40+ page SCRIPT that went along with the invitation.

The 12th Annual Christmas Spectacular
The Everett Civic Auditorium

The Dorothy Jayne Foundation and Studio presents

The 12th Annual Christmas Spectacular - A Gift of Music and Celebration of Life
in Our Community - with this year's focus that of Family and Personal Achievement.

                                         The talented cast of regulars will be presented to help celebrate the 12th Anniversary
                                          of the Christmas Spectacular. Master of Ceremonies will be Brian Tracey - former
                                        long standing anchor of KING 5 TV's "Evening News" and now owner of
                                         "Ride-The-Ducks-Of-Seattle". This year, Everett Mayor Ray Stephanson will confer
                                          a special honor on Brian for his many years of voluntary service to the Everett Community
                                          through the show. Dehner Franks, who has created 34 songs and 4 CD albums for the
                                          show over the years, will be on stage again this year. He will be joined by Jack Klitzman
                                          and the Band ("Nearly Dan"/Steely Dan Tribute) along with extremely talented performers
                                          from Moscow, France, New York, Los Angeles and the Seattle/Everett area. The 8th grade
                                          Snohomish County Children's Choir directed by Shelley Logan will be part of the show as well.

                                          This year's focus on "Family" will center around some very talented family performers that
                                          will include Shelley Logan, Aubrey Logan, Olga Foraponova and Dascha Wright. The focus
                                          on "Personal Achievement" will be through presentation of some uniquely deserving
                                          members of the Christmas Spectacular Cast, the Providence Children's Center and the
                                          Community - including Commander Rick Gile (The Everett High School Jr. ROTC);
                                          Eleanor Leight ( The Leight Fantastics); Jocelin Meadows(The Providence Children's Center);
                                          Aubrey Logan (New CD album; Los Angeles) and Charles Henri Avleange (Film composer for
                                          this year's Hallmark's Christmas Cartoon).

                                          The Prov's Got Talent portion of the show will allow members of the Providence Regional
                                          Medical Center Everett Staff a chance to strut their stuff and help draw attention to the
                                          Providence Children's Center. The "favorite" amongst the Prov's Got Talent performers
                                          will be selected through LIVE TEXT VOTING!

                                          The show was initially created in the aftermath of 9-11 by Sanford Wright Jr., MD. Dr. Wright's
                                          father was active in community service for 30 years and enjoyed his involvement with charitable
                                          organizations.

The show will be at the Everett Civic Auditorium on Saturday, December 8, 2012from 7pm - 9pm.

                                          The doors open at 6pm. Tickets will be $15 per person plus five (5) cans of non-perishable foods for                                            the needy.
